Nowhere else on this planet the population is solicited so often to pronounce itself on issues that concern the community: the funding of infrastructure projects, tax and welfare issues, but also foreign policy questions, such as should the country be a member of the UN and the EU? When I look out of my window at work I can see the posters and slogans. I would like to share the one which caught my eyes:

What I am showing is a xenophobic poster which calls for the expulsion of "criminal foreigners": Law abiding white sheep from Switzerland kick-out a black one. Someone wrote "HONTE" on this blatantly xenophobic and racist campagne poster. It is this one single word "Shame" that gives hope.
